Out of all the Spawn variants that've been made there's never been a battle damaged Spawn. That's just plain wrong; so I am formally requesting that McFarlane toys make a battle damaged Spawn sometime in the near future. I even suggested it to Jean at last year's BBQ. I want a lot of insane bells and whistles w/ it, so it'd have to be a deluxe figure.
It should of course have detachable limbs and a gaping chest wound. The necroplasm leaking from his wounds should glow in the dark (like the new Slimer so it doesn't just look like white plastic in daylight). I also want it to come with light-up eyes and a light-up necroplasm attatchment for one of his hands. (There's also never been a Spawn toy w/ him conjuring something from necroplasm, which is also wrong). The activator button could be his belt buckle so it wouldn't interfere with the sculpt. It would be funny if all his joints bent the wrong way as if his bones were dislocated, but I won't hold my breath since Todd has developed an unatural abhorence of hinge joints. To top it off, a detatchable shredded cape with interior wires that allow it to be bent into diffent positions.
Is anybody else interested in my crackpot idea?

I've already got a battleclad Spawn. As cool as it is, it's less battle damaged than it is ... uh... strippable.

I think that the reason they don't make one is that this would put the toy more into the novelty field rather than the 'work of art' field. While all those features sound good on a custom, it just seems weird on a McF figure.

How about a "TREE OF WOE" Spawn in the Dark Ages line......
If you read the Dark Ages Saga, Covenant was trapped in a tree for like 50 years or something... that would be a VERY cool design for a figure!!!!

Why am I the only one interested in a battle damaged Spawn? Did I mention that it would be COMIC BOOK ACCURATE! Everybody loves comic book accurate figures in gothic statuary poses! We definitely need more gory Spawn stuff (well at least more stuff that's supposed to be gory) and deluxe figures that are more than a slightly larger figure. Or if you don't agree just say something.

I don't see why it can't be a work of art and have extra features. It's not like light-up parts (Spawn 3, movie Violator, Alien eggs) and removeable limbs (Steve the victim, Sea Creature's diver, Predator 2) are foreign to McFarlane Toy designers. The glow in the dark necroplasm would just be paint (unless if Neca has that brand copyrighted then screw it) and the dislocated bones would be reversed hinges. The features in conjunction w/ a large base and cape would justify the cost of making it a deluxe figure. (Remember back when Todd said that he'd make the best damn figures possible and then tck on a price point and not vice versa like other companies?) Of course I'd still buy a non-deluxe battle-damaged Spawn w/o the extras, but a deluxe figure would encourage the engineers to improve upon some neglected areas.
